The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to map your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.
Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4% debris from our check here carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
